SEND information for parents

SEND Provision:

SEND provision at Friarage School follows a personal approach, which focuses on individual goals and supports all children in accessing a broad and balanced curriculum.

Our SEND Information Report provides parents/carers with guidance on how we identify, support and monitor the education of children with an additional need.

Our SENDCo (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator) is Miss L Tymon and our Inclusion Manager is Mr A Vipond. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the office to arrange an appointment on 01723 374244.

Our SEND and Inclusion Policy is available below. If you require any of these as hard copies, please request this at the school office.

As a part of the Children and Families Act 2014 all local authorities have to publish a ‘local offer’ for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and their families.

North Yorkshire’s offer can be found here:

North Yorkshire Local Offer- https://www.northyorks.gov.uk/send-local-offer

If you require any additional advice, information or support, which is independent from the school, SENDIASS (SEND Information, Advice and Support Service) can provide free and impartial support.
